Yamaha WaterCraft Group, a division of Yamaha Motor Corporation, United States of America, today introduced its 2020 WaveRunner line, which includes a redesign of the luxury brand FX Series, a new high-level performance for entry-level EX models, and Great performance improvements for the Yamaha GP1800R and VXR ready for racing. The products were unveiled at the company’s annual dealership meeting in San Diego, California, where Yamaha also established its strategy to remain the fastest-growing brand of personal craftsmanship in the industry.
“Personal watercraft sales were strong this summer, and we exceeded expectations through the board of directors, selling several of our most popular models,” said Bryan SETI, general manager of Yamaha’s personal watercraft. “With this introduction of the product that highlights many new features and technologies never before seen in the industry, we plan to take advantage of our momentum and continue to provide customers with the best experiences in the water.
The best sellers of Yamaha’s range of luxury marine products have returned with a new deck and helmet design, the industry’s first color touch instrumentation, self-draining footwells and an innovative multi-mount system that makes than FX fixation accessories to Snap. These accessories (sold separately on all FX models, except SVHO FX Limited) include wireless waterproof ECOXGEAR® wireless speakers and a GPS fish detector with Garmin Striker ™ transducer. You can take the speakers to the beach, and the Fish Finder can be quickly removed and stored when not in use. FX Limited SVHO Lighthouse comes standard with two wireless ECOXGEAR® Bluetooth® wireless speakers, a Garmin Striker ™ GPS fish detector with the transducer and RAM® mounting hardware.

It also has a top charger inlet grate and a 40mm pump extension for more flexible handling and performance.

The new intake grid has a blade that feeds the water to the upper end of the turbine to improve the traction of the propeller and keep the pump plugged in to maintain maximum thrust during firing and in raw water. The new driving plate designed for the race is longer to reduce the arc lift when accelerating quickly. The planning surface is slightly tilted for the right amount of rocker to give the GP1800R the correct driving attitude for optimal maximum speed.
