Consumers have clearly found value in this extra-hot spark. Here’s a reminder of why. With its very competitive price point and the fun personality, the spark had already proven a favorite among consumers, but the Trixs took this fun factor to another level. The most obvious addition was the modified TRIXS model variable trim system. In standard form, this trim extends over a normal range – from 7 º to-4.5 º down – to plant the bow lower during acceleration and lift it for optimum performance of the top speed. On the Trix, however, it oscillates as high as 17 º in the high position, and 6 º when completely down.

This ascending range allows the Trixs to carry out its marquee manoeuvre, a wheelie, with a minimum of power and a minimum rider skill. Just trim up (a single double-tap of the trim button oscillates between the settings favored from top to bottom), push the throttle lever and pull the bars. The job goes fast in a tail stand. With a little practice, this tail stand can be spun in a free fall, a safe crowd pleaser, and the driver becomes the cool kid just like that.

The 2018 Sea-Doo Spark Trixs package of other additions helps his Freestyle personality. The floor corners are key, inclined to 60 º to provide a safe foot when this craft is tilting to the sky and helping a rider trying to get his weight back as far as possible. There is also an adjustable handlebar, with an aluminum riser that starts at 3 “higher than the normal spark and extends to 6” higher when fully extended. The downward angle also promises to make moves as possible nose shots, but I found those a little harder to remove… and a little harder on the body while trying.
